Todesbonden First Live Performance after two year break

We are playing live again after a two year hiatus and will be sharing the stage with the band Brave for a dual CD release party at Jammin' Java in Vienna, Virginia USA, Saturday, October 18, 2008. Make sure to arrive early because we are hitting the stage at 6PM!

New Drummer Added to Line-up!

We are thrilled to announce that we now have a new drummer, Alex Hicks. He is a fantastic drummer who also happens to be an extremely nice person. We are very happy to have him join the Todesbonden line-up and look forward to the future music we will create with him.

We are sad to announce that we unfortunately have parted ways with pianist James Lamb due to irreconcilable differences and we wish him well on his future musical and life pathways.

Jens Bogren + Todesbonden

We are thrilled to announce that we are currently working with Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Daylight Dies, Pain of Salvation etc..) from Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.

He is in the process of producing and mixing our upcoming album Sleep Now, Quiet Forest.

Jens has also done some wonderful work in the past and we feel honored to have this opportunity and we look forward to getting the final product on the streets as soon as possible!

DRUMMER NEEDED!!!

Todesbonden is looking for a full time drummer to join the crew. We have female vocals, violin, flute, guitar (heavy and acoustic styles), bass guitar and keys all we need now is a permanent drummer to complete the lineup.

We are looking for someone who is easy to get along with, reliable, and talented.

We have a practice space in Orion Studios in Baltimore, so personal practice space is not necessary.

The style of music that we play has influences from World, Celtic, metal, rock, classical and etherial styles. The final result has been compared to Loreena McKennitt, The Gathering, Dead Can Dance and Cirque du Soleil with a metal edge.

Recording News:
Todesbonden is still working on finding a good mix for their test track for their upcoming album "Ghost of the Crescent Moon". Once that is determined they will move on to recording the rest of the album.

Todesbonden is now scheduled to open for the infamous Dutch band THE GATHERING at Jaxx Nightclub (Springfield VA) for the evening of Sunday March 19, 2006.

We are happy to announce that we now have a new keyboardist, drummer and bass player.

Drummer Wanted!!!!

Todesbonden is currently in the process of auditioning permanent drummers. We are looking for someone who is talented, dedicated, reliable and open minded to many styles of music. Must be willing to experiment with world music styles but also be able to play even double bass drumming. Must live in the MD/VA/DC or plan to relocate.

Band plans on playing out of state/out of country shows on occassion, so drummer must be willing to do that as well. We would like to find someone who is willing to practice from 1-2 days a week if not more.

Auditions start in May and we plan on solidifying someone by June, playing live starting July and then recording in September, so please contact us ASAP at band@todesbonden.com

Todesbonden is happy to announce that they have now signed with Prophecy Productions in Germany:


We feel that it is an honor to be the first United States band to be signed to be Prophecy and also to be part of their roster which includes some of our favorite musical artists such as Kari Rueslatten, Third and the Mortal, Tenhi, In the Woods, Of the Wand and the Moon, Arcturus, Antimatter (Duncan from Anathema), Elend, Green Carnation, Autumnblaze, Empyrium, and many more talented bands..

Prophecy has a fantastic reputation for putting out quality music. You can tell that Martin, the president of Prophecy Productions loves what he puts out and hand picks each band carefully. So granted, we are very fllattered we are to be one of the chosen ones.

We will releasing future albums on Prophecy starting with our first LP "The Ghost of a Crescent Moon" and expect it to be a wonderful collaboration with them.

Do not worry about obtaining future Todesbonden releases, Prophecy has many distribution partnerships around the world, for example in the United States you will be able to find Prophecy releases through The End Records and many other places as well, just go to the Prophecy site to see who their partnership is.

The Stormbringer EP is still available through Pale Moon Records if interested in purchasing. These songs will not be recorded again, so get them while they last.

Todesbonden has decided that they will more then likely not rerecord the songs on the Todesbonden "Stormbringer" EP because they have enough songs for a full-length album to be released in '05 and would like to start out fresh on a new comprehensive album. If there are any decisions made otherwise we will announce it in this News section. Meanwhile, you may purchase the professionally printed EP. Details written below.

We have added a new picture to the Daily Artwork gallery by the talented A. Tolonen from the band Nest. A. Tolonen also is a fantastic Finish Kantele player who has been featured in other bands such as Shape of Despair. Todesbonden hopes to work with him on their upcoming full length CD. Todesbonden is very happy to announce that they are now working with a fabulous violinist named Patrick Geddes. Patrick is classically trained and they feel that he adds a lot to their style. Todesbonden has completed a Four song EP"Stormbringer".

They plan on rerecording, remixing and remastering these songs for their full length CD to be out in Late '04/Early '05 on Pale Moon Records

Todesbonden has released a pre-demo promotional sample mp3 of one of the songs to be on the demo to be released in Summer '04. They have placed it on soundclick.com:

Go here to listen to it:"Dark Horns" This was recorded completely on home studio equipment and with sequenced drums. A real drummer shall be utilized for the final demo to be released.
